La Scala Nights: Where Fashion Found Its Voice

Hello, beloved!
There are evenings that feel like pages from a novel — rare, saturated, unforgettable. This one began behind velvet curtains beneath the gilded ceilings of Teatro alla Scala, where fashion met purpose at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2025.
Held at Milan’s most iconic opera house, the location itself set the tone: reverence for tradition, attention to nuance, a celebration of form and meaning. I wore a long, ethereal gown by Luisa Beccaria — soft hues woven into delicate jacquard, a silhouette that seemed to float with every step. Romantic yet strong, it felt like an echo of the night itself: poetic, timeless, and deeply feminine. I paired it with a yellow diamond necklace, a quiet gleam of light that caught the glow of La Scala’s chandeliers — subtle, radiant, eternal.

The lights dimmed. Anna Wintour — poised and timeless — stepped onto the stage to honor the late Giorgio Armani. Her voice, filled with warmth and reverence, echoed under the velvet balconies. That moment didn’t invite applause — only silence, the kind that happens when words land exactly where they’re meant to. His legacy lived not just in the lines of suits, but in the power of ideas. It was moving. Deeply so.

I arrived with two incredible women by my side — @mgchaplin and @ginta — each with her own quiet glow, her own presence. Together we watched Roberto Bolle move across the stage in a performance that blurred dance and breath. Each step was a quiet manifesto: about fragility, presence, and how art and sustainability can be one and the same.

The awards themselves weren’t just for names — they were for values. From Indian artisan cooperatives to Zegna’s forest initiatives, each recognition reminded us that fashion can carry a soul. Above the stage, the event’s emblem glimmered: three interwoven circles — nature, technology, and humanity. A quiet and powerful symbol. Because sustainability isn’t a trend. It’s our new kind of poetry.
This evening wasn’t about fashion as industry — it was about fashion as intention. About choosing to create with care. About beauty that doesn’t demand sacrifice. Each moment on that stage spoke not only of style, but of respect — for the earth, for craftsmanship, for tomorrow.

As we stepped back into the Milan night, there was a stillness and a lightness inside. As though we had all been part of something greater. And while the stage held gowns and spotlight and movement — what truly resonated was the invitation to reflect. On what we wear. On what we support. On what we choose to elevate.
With lace on my shoulders and stars in my heart,
Sasha 💋
