Mallorca, Revisited — and Reimagined

There are places you visit…
and then there are places that reveal themselves to you differently each time.
Jumeirah Mallorca was exactly that kind of discovery.

Perched high above the coastline, the hotel unfolds along the cliffs in a way that feels almost cinematic — stretching across the mountain ridge for what feels like kilometers. It’s not a place you simply stay in. It’s a place you explore. You walk, and walk, and then walk a little more… discovering hidden corners, quiet viewpoints, and new perspectives of the island at every turn.
And Mallorca itself… this time, I truly understood it.
I had been here before, but on this visit, I fell in love with it in a completely different way. I realized how vast and diverse the island is — from dramatic mountain landscapes to soft Mediterranean stillness. There’s a quiet beauty here. Effortless, natural, and deeply calming.
The people reflect that same energy — warm, open, and genuinely at ease with life.
Mornings at the hotel became a ritual. Slow, sunlit breakfasts filled not only with the freshest fruits, but with an abundant selection of the best local products Mallorca has to offer — artisanal cheeses, beautifully prepared meats, delicate cuts, and flavors that feel both rich and authentic.
And yes… I even had churros for breakfast — because where else, if not in Spain.
And then, of course, the views.

I’ve always been a little obsessed with a beautiful bath with a view — and here, it becomes something unforgettable. The mountains, the light, the silence… it turns into a moment of complete escape.
Another highlight was the spa — one of those experiences that stays with you. After a long night flight, I had one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. The therapist was incredibly talented — the kind of touch that feels intuitive, precise, almost transformative. I walked out feeling completely reset, as if my body had been restored from within.
Dining at Es Fanals was another defining moment — a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide, where the philosophy is rooted in the island itself. The best local ingredients, elevated and presented in an innovative, refined way. Nothing feels excessive — just beautifully executed, thoughtful cuisine that lets Mallorca speak through every dish.
But what made this trip truly special was stepping beyond the hotel.
One of the most memorable experiences was visiting Son Moragues — a historic olive estate where time feels like it has slowed down. Walking through ancient olive groves, some of them centuries old, you begin to understand the heritage of the island in a completely different way. It’s not just nature — it’s history, preserved and alive.
And then came one of the most intimate and unforgettable moments of the trip.
At Macià Batle, instead of a traditional winery tour, we were welcomed by the owners themselves into their world. They hosted us in their beautiful finca — a true Spanish estate — where everything felt deeply personal and intentional.
A long table was set with the finest local delicacies, wines flowing, conversations unfolding effortlessly. What stayed with me most was not just the wine — but them.
A couple so passionate about what they do, so genuinely happy, so present in their lives. You could feel that this is not just a business for them — it’s their way of living.
She prepares the dishes herself, in a stunning, expansive kitchen with panoramic views — the kind of space that makes cooking feel like a pleasure, not a task. Hosting, creating, sharing… it all comes so naturally to them.
It felt less like a tasting — and more like being invited into someone’s life.
And then — movement again.
One morning, I went hiking up to Torre Picada — a historic watchtower overlooking the sea. The kind of place where you pause, take in the view, and realize just how powerful the landscape of Mallorca really is.
What I loved most about this trip is how layered it felt.
From slow mornings and quiet luxury at Jumeirah Mallorca…
to centuries-old olive estates…
to intimate moments inside a Spanish finca…
to hiking above the sea…
Mallorca isn’t just a destination. It’s a story you move through.
And this time, I truly felt part of it.
