A Gentle Story Called Prague

Hello, beloved!

I’m writing this from the airplane, leaving Prague behind.

Ahead of me — busy cities, meetings, deadlines, plans already waiting on the horizon.

And below — a city that, until recently, was just another line on my must-visit list. Beautiful, historic, touristy.

But I’m leaving with a different feeling now.

Prague revealed itself to be so much deeper than postcards and picture-perfect views — it’s a city that whispers rather than shouts, that shows its charm slowly, like a story you want to keep reading.

I chose The Julius Prague to be my home in this city — warm, modern, yet deeply connected to the old soul of Prague. I loved the contrast — high ceilings and minimalist design meeting the rhythm of cobblestones just outside. Mornings began with soft light spilling through tall windows, quiet jazz in the background, and a perfectly brewed tea that somehow tasted like calm.

Every day, I set out without a plan — just to wander. Prague doesn’t need directions; it gently leads you where it wants you to go. Through arched bridges and hidden courtyards, along Vltava’s reflections and the echoes of trams. I stopped at tiny bakeries that smelled of vanilla and warm dough, tried trdelník still hot with cinnamon sugar, and listened to street musicians playing not for applause, but for one person at a time.

There’s a kind of stillness here that stays with you — a feeling of being fully present, surrounded by beauty that doesn’t demand to be seen, only felt.

And in the evenings, returning to The Julius, I’d pass through its quiet lobby filled with soft light, take off my coat, and feel the comfort of slowing down. The city outside would hum softly under the rain, and I’d think how rare it is — this balance between movement and peace.

Prague reminded me that sometimes the most beautiful thing you can do is simply exist — breathe, observe, feel.

With love and the scent of morning tea,

Sasha 💋
