Hello, beloved!

What do you know about Casablanca? For many, it’s just the title of an old film or a dot on the map of Morocco. But for me, it’s a city that became an unexpected contrast. A blend of Eastern charm and architectural restraint. Here, the white façades seem to mirror the ocean, while the wind carries the scent of oranges, salt, and time.

I arrived with a light heart, with no expectations. And it’s exactly such cities that know how to surprise you.

My starting point was Royal Mansour Casablanca — a hotel with a legendary history. Within its walls, an entire era lived on: it once welcomed diplomats, artists, those who shaped the cultural face of the city. Today, it is a place where you can feel the breath of time. Subtle luxury, warm stone, delicate Moroccan details — everything thought out to the finest nuance. From the upper floors, the view unfolds: the Atlantic, the old quarters, and the business center merging into a single picture.

Here I realized: Moroccan culture is not so much strict as it is profound. It reveals itself gently — in gestures, in interiors, in attention to detail. And in this unhurried rhythm, there is a special kind of strength.

I hardly took any photos. I just wanted to be — to watch, to listen. Perhaps the essence of Casablanca lies in its rhythm. It’s not about rush. It’s about presence.

And now — a little secret: in the morning, in the Habous district, you can find a bakery with no sign. There they make the most delicate almond cookies in the city. Just follow the scent. And take a few extra — by sunset at the ocean, they disappear far too quickly.

With love and salt in my hair,

Sasha 💋
