Some places never lose their magic, no matter how many times you return. Capri is one of those places for me.

I’ve been coming to this tiny Italian island for years, yet every visit feels different. This time, however, felt particularly special. Perhaps because I finally experienced moments I had somehow missed on all my previous trips, or perhaps because staying at Jumeirah Capri

Palace reminded me why this hotel remains one of my favorite addresses in Italy.

There is something about this hotel that feels incredibly personal to me. It is one of those rare places that perfectly matches my own soul and aesthetics. The soft whites and blues, the art-filled interiors, breathtaking views over Anacapri, and the wonderfully cosy atmosphere create a feeling of being in a beautiful little world of its own.

The recent touches by Patricia Urquiola have brought an entirely new energy to the property. The redesign feels fresh, contemporary and artistic, yet still preserves the timeless spirit that has always made Capri Palace so special. It’s elegant without trying too hard and sophisticated while remaining warm and inviting.

Every day began slowly, with long and incredibly delicious breakfasts and continued with unforgettable lunches and dinners. Food is one of the reasons I keep returning to Capri, and this trip did not disappoint.

One of the highlights was once again lunch at Il Riccio, perched dramatically above the sea right next to the Blue Grotto. Their seafood dishes are simply exceptional - fresh, beautifully prepared and impossible to forget. And, of course, no visit to Il Riccio is complete without stepping into their famous Temptation Room, a paradise filled with every Italian dessert imaginable. Even if you are completely full, somehow you still find room for another bite.

This trip also brought me something I had never managed to experience before: the Blue Grotto itself.

After numerous visits to Capri, I had somehow never made it inside. Every time I came, there was always an endless queue of boats and I would eventually give up. This year, however, I finally entered the famous cave, and it was worth the wait. Watching the sunlight transform

the water into an almost surreal electric blue felt like witnessing one of Capri’s little miracles.

Another memorable experience was visiting the olive groves around Anacapri. There is something deeply calming about being surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, hearing stories about the land and understanding the traditions that have shaped this island for generations. These moments away from the glamorous beach clubs and restaurants remind me that Capri’s true beauty lies in its authenticity.

Evenings were equally magical.

Since my beloved and iconic Da Paolino is currently being refurbished, I had dinner at Casa Paolino, its sister restaurant, which beautifully preserves the same warm atmosphere and love for simple, authentic Italian cuisine.

Another unforgettable dinner was at Da Gelsomina, where I enjoyed what may be one of the most delicious Ravioli Caprese I have ever tasted. Simple ingredients, prepared perfectly - proof that Italian cuisine often shines brightest in its simplicity.

No stay at Jumeirah Capri Palace would be complete without spending time in its legendary spa.

The hotel has long been famous for its wellness philosophy and signature Leg School treatments, designed to improve circulation and relieve heaviness in the legs. After long days exploring Capri’s steep streets and endless staircases, the treatment felt almost therapeutic. It is one of those iconic experiences that has become part of the Capri Palace identity and something I would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

As I left Capri once again, I realised that my love for this island isn’t about ticking off landmarks or discovering something entirely new every time.

It’s about a feeling.

The scent of lemons in the air. The endless shades of blue. Long lunches that turn into sunset aperitivos. Art, beauty, slow mornings, and warm Italian hospitality.

And above all, returning to places that somehow feel like home.

For me, Jumeirah Capri Palace is one of those places
