Hello, beloved!

Some places don’t introduce themselves.

They reveal you to yourself — slowly, through moments, through details, through the way they make you feel.

That was my experience at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

From the very first moment, everything felt intentional.

I was met by the hotel’s private Rolls-Royce — a quiet, effortless transition into another world.

And as soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was welcomed by an entire team.

Warm, attentive, genuinely kind.

That first impression stayed with me throughout the entire stay —

because the level of hospitality here is truly exceptional.

The team is always present, always thoughtful —

checking in, making sure everything is perfect, anticipating what you might need before you even ask.

It’s those small things that make all the difference.

During my stay, I was living in the largest suite of the hotel — the Shangri-La Suite.

And stepping into it felt like entering a private world.

The space was expansive, serene, beautifully composed — but what made it unforgettable were the details.

The suite was filled with the most incredibly beautiful floral arrangements — lush, elegant, almost like a living art installation.

And then, something I had never experienced before.

Waiting for me inside was a private green tea ceremony.

A tea master, preparing the freshest, highest-quality green tea right there in my suite.

For me — a true green tea lover — this moment felt incredibly special.

Quiet, precise, almost meditative.

And alongside it, a selection of exquisite desserts prepared by the hotel’s pastry team — including a matcha cake made especially for me.

For a matcha lover… this went straight to the heart.

And then… the bathroom.

A breathtaking, oversized bathtub with a full view over Hong Kong.

The kind of place where time disappears.

I found myself returning to it again and again —because once you step into that space, you don’t really want to leave.

Water, skyline, stillness — everything blending into one perfect pause.

Dining at the hotel became an experience of its own.

Dinner at Nadaman was one of the most memorable evenings of my stay.

A private teppanyaki chef, cooking right in front of us — each movement precise, almost meditative.

And the taste… unforgettable.

For lunch, I discovered two very different, yet equally special worlds.

At Petrus — a Michelin-starred French restaurant suspended above the city —

everything felt refined, elegant, quietly spectacular.

Each dish was composed with such precision, it felt closer to art than to dining.

And at Ming Pavilion — a celebration of Chinese cuisine in its most elevated form.

Rich flavours, delicate textures, and a beautiful balance between tradition and modernity.

A completely different mood, yet just as memorable.

In between it all, there were moments of stillness.

The spa — a space of pure calm, where everything softens.

The treatment, the atmosphere, the silence…

It felt like stepping away from the world, even if only for a moment.

There is something about Island Shangri-La that stays with you.

Not in a loud or obvious way — but in the feeling it leaves behind.

A sense of care.

Of precision.

Of quiet, deeply personal luxury.

Until next chapter,

Sasha
